The successful candidate will assist with the preparation of asset, liability, revenue and expense reporting by compiling and analyzing accounting information. The candidate will also maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and timely recording of Fixed Asset register with periodic physical audits.
  • Marking asset, stock items using identification tags or other labeling equipment.
  • Reconcile the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to the General Ledger to ensure all accounts are up to date. 
  • Record all payments received from credit customers.
  • Generate aged reports detailing all outstanding receivables and follow up with customers for payments.
  • Assist with entering payables and check payables for accuracy and reporting all errors to the relevant person for correction.
  • Assists with the reviewing of bank statements and preparation of bank reconciliations.
  • Preparing journal entries as assigned.
  • Reconcile Cashier End of Day Report with Fareharbour Daily Sales Report.
  • Maintain up to date filing systems for areas assigned.
  • Review Weekly Bill Payment Schedule for accountant to do online banking upload. 
  • Post bill payments on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare and record all lodgments.
  • Process the weekly payroll.
  • Conduct all inventory counts as determined by the company.
  • Assisting with auditing and verifying documents.
  • Following internal controls.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, and current accounting standards.
  • Any other related duties as may be assigned. 

 

Qualifications

  • Education Minimum – ACCA level 1 or BSC Degree in Accounting
  • Experience – At least two (2) years in similar position
