Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Web & Digital Content Officer.

Salary Range: $4,060,697.00.00 to $5,461,186.00

 

OBJECTIVES/SUMMARY OF POSITION

Under the direction of the Manager, Corporate Communications and Public Relations, the Web & Digital Content Officer will have responsibility for the creation of graphics and artwork for digital marketing campaigns, websites, and social media platforms; print media for the Tourism Enhancement Fund; and providing support for websites and digital platforms in keeping with established guidelines.

 

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Create highly engaging designs and animations for a diverse array of media and platforms.
  • Plans and executes all web, SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
  • Designs, builds, and maintains our social media presence.
  • Develop content for and monitor all branding and maintain brand management.
  • Develop content for and monitor all TEF’s digital platforms (websites, social media, etc.) 
  • Coordinating with outside agencies, art services, web designers, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.
  • Liaise with representatives of all departments within the TEF to create graphic material for digital and traditional marketing that is in keeping with the requirements as established by the Communications Team of the Ministry of Tourism.
  • Liaise with the communications departments of the Ministry of Tourism and its public bodies to provide information relating to the creation of digital marketing campaigns and graphical designs

 

PERFORMANCE INDICATORS/STANDARDS

  • Social media strategies developed and implemented in accordance with established standards and timeframes.
  • TEF’s website, social media, and other digital platforms are managed and moderated in keeping with agreed standards and agreed timeframes.
  • Creative production is conceptualized and managed in accordance with established standards and timeframes.
  • Performance of marketing and communications activities tracked and reported in accordance with agreed standards and timeframes. 
  • Traditional and digital content and publications are developed based on evidence and agreed-upon timeframes.
  • The technical advice and recommendations provided are evidence-based and delivered within agreed-upon timeframes. This could include reports indicating performance metrics for collaboration and communication, event impact, brand management, content performance, web presence, click-through rate, return on investment, etc. 
  • Confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism are displayed in the delivery of duties and interaction with staff.

 

AUTHORITIES OF THE JOB

  • Recommends improvements to the social media, website, digital assets, overall branding, and creative content strategies and plans.

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • A high degree of interaction with a wide cross-section of personalities.
  • The likelihood of long and extended hours of work to meet project commitments.
  • Work on weekends and public holidays may be required, but usually with prior notice.
  • Will be required to travel locally in the performance of duties, attend meetings, and make site visits.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE  

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, graphics design or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a digital media environment

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign Quark, and Illustrator. 
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly within the industry.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing databases, emails, social media, and/or display advertising campaigns.
  • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends, SEMRush, etc.).
  • Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
  • Good understanding of Social Media tools and platforms. 
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints is an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Demonstrated graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
