To observe, interpret and report, by way of the Company's Closed Circuit Television System, on all aspects of Casino Operations relative to the Lotteries and Gaming Act of the Bahamas and the Company's Accounting and Internal Control Procedures

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts oneself with a high degree of professionalism on the job and in general.
  • Exercises the utmost degree of confidentiality as it relates to departmental operations and or information.
  • Adheres to all company and departmental policies, rules, customs and procedures.
  • Develops a broad and thorough knowledge of the Company's Accounting and Internal Controls and House Rules governing the conduct of Table Games, Slots Operations, Cage Operations as well as other operations within the Casino.
  • Monitors all Casino related activities to ensure compliance with the Lotteries and Gaming Act, the Company's Accounting and Internal Controls and Departmental Standard Operating procedures.
  • Develops a good working knowledge of Emergency Procedures and their implementation in the event of an Armed Robbery, Bomb Threat, Fire, Power Failure, Hurricane and any other emergencies likely to endanger patrons, employees or property.
  • Records into the Surveillance Daily Log Book any and all incidents that contravene the Lotteries and Gaming Act and or Company policies, rules and procedures.
  • Continually assesses coverage capabilities with a view to recommending where improvements can be made relative to the type, location and or positioning of cameras.
  • Monitors the general upkeep of the Surveillance equipment ensuring that all faults are logged in the Equipment Fault register and or brought to the attention of the Surveillance Technicians for their immediate attention.
  • Assists with the training, development and evaluation of Monitor Trainees.
  • Expected to undergo additional training, attend seminars and or Surveillance Workshops, held here and or abroad, so as to enhance the overall Operations.
  • Adheres to all instructions emanating from the Surveillance Director and or the Surveillance Room Manager.
  • Performs other reasonable duty as may be required by the Department.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in the Casino Tables games fields a plus
  • Prior experience in the surveillance field a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills with ability to work with a diverse group of persons.
  • Extremely detailed orientated and computer literate.
  • Must be highly confidential
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high workload environment and be able to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Must be able obtain gaming board approval
