Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Site Support Lead with significant experience in the oil and gas industry.

 

Overview / Responsibilites

 

The Site Support Lead is responsible for the leadership of all construction related activities, inclusive of major and minor modifications, repairs related to deck service, general site operations and fabric maintenance programs assuring the availability and reliability of the equipment in compliance with the Company’s and Client’s Technical, HSSE and Quality standards as well as established policies and procedures.

 

  • Provides leadership as the Site’s single point of accountability for all construction related activities which includes TARs, Campaigns, CAT C Projects, Construction Projects and Repair Orders within the assigned asset(s).
  • Accountable for the management of multi-skilled trade and craft team executing helideck operations, scaffolding, lifting and rigging operations and fabric maintenance and construction activities on the asset including Well Intervention and Projects and Modifications Team activities.
  • Provides direction and supervision for all lifting and rigging operations, ensuring all lift plans are approved by LOLER competent person for lifts below the gross weight of 20 Tons and engage specialist support for non-routine lifts as required.
  • Responsible for scaffolders executing the planning, erection, and dismantling of scaffolding structures inclusive of suspended, cantilever, scaffolding tower, loading bay, bridge scaffold and over the platform side.
  • Responsible for fabric maintenance crews executing blasting, coating, painting & rope access activities.
  • Responsible for construction activities including bolt torquing, fabrication, fitting, rigging, welding, civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation, controls, mechanical & piping.
  • Identify, assign and optimize resources such that the cost efficiency and asset integrity standards of the Company and Client are maintained.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to the team, guiding and supporting the execution of activities in an organized and effective manner generating value to both the Company and the Client.
  • Responsible for the quality, accuracy, integrity and timely issue of construction deliverables to MC1, ensuring all GOC’s are completed and submitted.
  • Review all work packages and procedures for areas under control before execution to ensure work packages and procedures are fit for purpose.
  • Liaise with Planners and Schedulers to coordinate the scheduling of activities for the asset.
  • Responsible for input to plans and schedules, achievement of agreed schedule, and early identification of areas of concern with necessary corrective action identified.
  • Able to read and interpret red lines, isometrics, P&ID’s and other engineering drawings in the field and ensure site construction is according to relevant drawings.
  • Ability to identify and record onsite changes to project scopes and inform relevant responsible person.
  • Use Company digital technology in the field to perform site visit, construction reviews and track site progress.
  • Ensure that Field ITP’s and Quality Check Sheets are completed in a timely manner.
  • Lead risk assessments and actively participate in the investigation of equipment failures/incidents for areas under control.
  • Performs all other related job functions as required.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in a related field or a Technical Diploma (MET, EEET, IEET, PPO, Construction Management, Project Management, etc). or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET).
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience performing similar role/duties.
  • Knowledge of relevant procedures and policies for construction and deck operation.
  • Approved industry training courses for instance Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) courses, NACE Level I and II, International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Training and Scaffolding Inspection Training.
  • NSL EAL Level 2 A&B and A&C Certifications or OPITO LOLER Competent Person.
  • Preference will be given to national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad & Tobago.
