Plumber

Installs, repairs, and maintains plant plumbing, compressed air, steam system, and accessory installations. Works from blueprints. Determines material requirement, installs, connects, and tests sanitary plumbing fixtures, installs, tests and repairs plumbing devices used on machinery or equipment. P

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Keeps all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day to day maintenance of the hotel under the direction of Engineering Management. Ensures a complete understanding of and adheres to the company's fire and safety procedures.
• Unclogs toilets and drains. Responsible for the day to day operations and repair of plumbing systems throughout the property.
• Installs all plumbing fixtures and other plumbing related items. Trains and instructs other members of the staff by passing along knowledge and skills to assist them in their development and the advancement of your own.
• Strives to become an independent mechanic, analyzes problems and formulates plans to get work done quickly with a high degree of quality. Ensures that Engineering and the work area are kept clean at all times.
• Maintains communications with Supervisors to ensure that all materials, tools, and supplies are available or on order. Follows up on any items that may be back ordered. Responsible for letting supervisor know of stock and tool needs.
• Proficient with plumbing tools and the cleaning and upkeep of same.
• Looks for and repairs water leaks.
• Perform other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time.

• Minimum High school diploma or equivalent vocational training
• Ability to write routine reports, keep logs, and correspondence
• Minimum 2 years formal work experience, basic knowledge of general repairs and maintenance
• Basic skills includes weld, braze, solder, assemble, piping, applicable codes, water treatment and related chemicals, water distribution and balance
• Ability to read and understand blue prints
