The Management Accountant works under the direction of the Ministry Comptroller and is accountable for providing comprehensive accounting services in accordance with the Government’s Financial Instruction and Ministerial policies and procedures. In addition, the post-holder will be engaged in the preparation of the budget, will manage the budget on an ongoing basis, and will coordinate the year-end process.

Applicants must be professionally qualified in Accounting and be a full member of an internally recognized professional body i.e. Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Certified General Accountants, etc., and must be current with continuing professional education requirements for their designation. A minimum of three years of relevant post-qualifications experience is required. Prior experience working with JD Edwards or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) accounting system and QuickBooks would be an asset.
