Overview: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven individual. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior sales and commercial roles within the logistic, forwarding or shipping industry, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of logistics and freight forwarding operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Leadership: Lead and manage the Logistics and Freight Forwarding Department, overseeing all aspects of operations, including sales, customer service, and logistics coordination. Provide guidance and direction to departmental staff to ensure goals are met and exceeded.
2. Sales and Business Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand the client base. Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients while identifying and pursuing opportunities to acquire new business.
3. Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively. Build strong, long-lasting relationships with clients to foster loyalty and retention.
4. Operational Excellence: Ensure that logistics and freight forwarding operations are conducted efficiently and in accordance with industry best practices. Oversee the coordination of shipments, including negotiating rates with carriers, managing logistics, and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery.
5. Financial Management: Develop and manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and analyze financial performance. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and implement strategies to improve profitability.
6. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the department. Implement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior sale and/or commercial position in the forwarding or shipping industry, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
• Strong sales acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to close deals and win new business.
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• In-depth knowledge of freight forwarding operations, including logistics coordination, customs clearance, and documentation requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines.
