The Inventory Controller leads the stock reconciliation team and is responsible for managing accurate inventory records, tracking and reordering supplies, organizing and maintaining inventory databases, and leading cycle counts

Position Profile – Inventory Contoller

The Inventory Controller is responsible for developing, training and overseeing the inventory cycle count process and ensuring that inventory records are accurate. They will lead a team of reconciliation clerks and work closely with other departments to ensure that inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels.

Major Functions

• Provide strong leadership that inspires a team towards meeting monthly deliverables
• Trains and develop team to improve technical and behavioral competencies for their professional and personal growth
• Monitor and evaluate the perfomance of team members
• Develop and maintain an inventory cycle count schedule.
• Monitor and control inventory practices to ensure accuracy,
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies,
• Generate reports to communicate inventory accuracy,
• Work with team members to streamline processes,
• Perform root cause analysis on errors,
• Report errors and drive accountability,
• Update standard operating procedures, where necessary
• Execute cycle count sequences using ABC Cycle Counting Methodology
• Perform regular checks on FEFO processes.
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete products.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or any related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in inventory management
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is required
• Proven experience managing large volumes of inventory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of inventory management software (e.g., EPICOR)
