EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study
• At least three (3) years' experience in a Finance, Internal/External Audit or Inventory Management environment at a suitable level
• Strong computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Office and business applications
• Strong auditing & analytical skills
• Supervisory experience would be an Asset.
• Self-Starter and Team Player

DESIRABLE SKILLS

• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
• Ability to perform analyses of numerical data and financial information.
• Stock Management and Reconciliation skills, this includes undertaking inventory.
• counts at various locations and reconciling the results.
• Working knowledge of Accounting, Inventory and Retail processing software
• Able to work well in a team.
• Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal skills particularly tact and patience in dealing with customers (Both internal and external)

SOME OF THE MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

• Review of business processes to determine what gaps exist in the internal control policies and assess compliance with policies and procedures.
• Develop procedures to improve the company’s control processes and co-ordinate roll out and implementation.
• Assist the Internal Control Manager to facilitate staff training and guidance to persons on inventory applications, inventory control and internal control methodologies. Support and engage in continuous education of staff.
• Assist the Internal Control Manager in the evaluation of regulatory compliance, AML requirements and anti-fraud measures.
• Coordination of execution and verification of stock counts across the business operations and lead in the investigation of count results.
• Support the Internal Control Manager in the preparation of month-end reports and analysis.
• To perform any other related and reasonable duties as required by the Internal Control Manager or Director of Finance.
