The National Commercial Bank of Anguilla Ltd. (NCBA), leading financial institution in Anguilla, is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced individual to fill a consulting role in the position of Internal Audit Consultant for a period of up to two (2) years.

The successful candidate key responsibility will include the coaching and development of the bank’s Internal Auditor/Understudy, in the planning, developing, and executing the Bank’s Internal Audit functions, in accordance with generally accepted auditing principles, international standards and statutory regulations.

We are seeking an individual who is highly ethical, confidential, exercises prudent independent judgement, and could work within a fast-paced environment, with a view to contributing to the success of the organization’s understudy programme, and current and future goals & objectives.

Some of the key accountabilities to support the programme:

1. Develop a training and development for support the timely execution of the bank’s understudy programme.

2. Develop, maintain and implement internal audit policies and procedures.

3. Execute independent audits of the various bank functions.

4. Conduct stress testing of internal controls.

5. Ensure that the bank adheres to policies and procedures, regulations, and auditing and accounting standards.

6. Prepare timely audit reports with sound recommendations.

7. Act as an independent source of advice.

8. Follow-up on audit exceptions.

9. Conduct special investigative assignments.

The ideal candidate should possess:

A recognised auditing certification such as the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) along with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with at least 8-10 years auditing experience, 5 of which should be at senior management level.
