Job Summary

The Information Technology Officer is responsible for administering the installation and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and networks. Assist in implementing IT services to satisfy the company's operational needs.

Candidates must be able to clearly demonstrate:

1. Oversees IT and computer systems by

a. Procuring hardware and software approved by senior management.

b. Coordinating with departmental managers to ensure employees are equipped with appropriate technology to carry out their daily activities.

c. Providing orientation to new users of existing technology.

d. Providing individual training and support on request.

e. Maintaining current and accurate inventory of hardware and software.

f. Collaborating with senior management on system and network requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines.

g. Providing recommendations for accessing information and IT support.

h. Suggesting areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.

2. Maintains the company's computer networks by

a. Assisting with planning and implementation of upgrades and modifications to support changing infrastructure.

b. Controlling network security at the wholesale and retail levels.

c. Administering the company's local area and wide area networks.

d. Providing network accounts and passwords as required.

3. Oversees troubleshooting, system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery by

a. Attending to all help desk requests from staff.

b. Responding immediately to service issues at the retail stores.

c. Interacting with internal and external clients to help resolve IT-related issues and providing answers in a timely manner.

d. Ensuring that backups are effectively executed.

e. Maintaining a log of required repairs and maintenance.

Skills and Educational Requirements:

• Associates Degree in Information Technology

• A + Certification, Network +, CCNA Certification would be preferred

• Strong Project Management and organizational skills

• Must have available a reliable vehicle for business purposes

• Strong Communication Skills
