Greenskeeper

Performs a variety of basic maintenance tasks on the Golf Course.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operates power equipment in the mowing of golf greens, tees and approaches.
• Operates weed eaters/ hand trimmers
• Performs hand watering duties
• Edges and maintains sand traps including hand raking.
• Changes pin placements and tee markers.
• Edges and cleans cart paths.
• Fertilizes greens, tees, slopes and surrounding areas.
• Maintains water hazards.
• Grades and prepares areas for sod and lays sod in those areas.
• Assist Spray Technician in spraying of chemicals.
• Operates light equipment in the hauling of debris from golf course.
• Trims trees and prunes shrubs.
• Hand pulls weeds as necessary.
• Cleans maintenance facility areas.
• Performs related tasks as directed by immediate supervisor.
• The Company operates a twenty-four (24) hour business. Therefore, you will be rostered to work shifts, which may change from time to time.

• Previous golf course experience desired.
• Knowledge of tools, methods and materials used in golf maintenance.
• Ability to safely operate motorized equipment used in golf maintenance operations.
• Ability to perform various tasks requiring physical mastery of tools and equipment during periods of inclement weather.
• Ability to follow oral and written direction from immediate supervisor.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
