The Field Service Surveillances Technician - works under the direction of the Surveillance Technician Supervisor and performs technical work installing, maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting surveillance equipment within Atlantis Resort & Casino Paradise Island including PIDA. Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installs, operates, maintains and repairs technical investigative/surveillance equipment (e.g. alarms, video cameras, voice transmitting, digital video recorders, network vehicle tracking, night vision systems, etc.) to obtain criminal evidence in compliance with local laws.
  • Exercises the utmost degree of confidentiality as it relates to security and surveillance operations and/or information.
  • Maintain the necessary diagrams as it relates to the surveillance infrastructure.
  • Assist in developing and conducting training of hotel, casino and pida security on the use of technical investigative equipment.
  • Assist in researching and make recommendations of surveillance equipment.
  • Document and maintain detailed records (e.g. service requests, equipment locations, time and parts used for repairs, travel claims, etc.)
  • Schedules and/or coordinate services (e.g. repairs, installations, removal of equipment and preventative maintenance,
  • Responds to 24-hour seven day/week emergency call-outs to perform and/or facilitate emergency equipment repairs anywhere technical investigative equipment is utilized.
  • Assist in testing and evaluation of new equipment to ensure that the equipment meets/exceeds the parameters of manufacturer's specifications.
  • Catalogs and inventories equipment as system/s are changed/updated.
  • Reviews and evaluates work of less experienced technicians.
  • Opens up problem reporting tickets and accurately uses all problem tracking software systems i.e. Heat.
  • Adheres to other defined SOPs as required.
  • Performs other reasonable duties that may be requested by management.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma with two years' experience, or two-year technical degree in computer science
  • Requires two (2) years of experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of technical investigative/surveillance equipment or an equivalent combination of education (e.g. formal electronics technology program or training in the use, repair and installation of electronic or surveillance equipment)
  • Understanding of Cabling and Networking concepts.
  • Reading and comprehending technical manuals, manufacturer specifications and troubleshooting guides used in the installation and repair of technical investigative equipment.
  • Able to evaluate situations and resolve problems.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to complete job functions in an orderly, efficient manner.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Must have the ability to safely move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities.
