Incumbent is responsible for meeting sales targets for automotive parts. Interfacing with customers to provide guidance on purchases and to impart a high level of customer service.

The following opportunity exists within the Stewart’s Automotive Group for a highly motivated, team and results-oriented individual, to fill the position of:

                   Automotive Parts Sales Representative

 The key duties & responsibilities of this position are:

  • To build rapport with customers face to face and over the telephone and asking questions to understand their requirements.
  • Understanding the customers’ needs and using your knowledge of available products, to ensure that all required parts and accessories are offered.
  • Quoting prices and availability of stock, merchandise and accessories.
  • Encouraging the sale of parts merchandise and accessories and acting on opportunities to sell additional products and/or services and market current promotions.
  • Meeting individual sales targets and playing your part in ensuring that the department’s overall sales targets are attained.
  • Working with the Service and Workshop teams to ensure pre-picking activities are carried out and ensuring access to the requested parts to enable the team to schedule and complete work on time.
  • Monitoring and maintaining agreed stocks levels, while maximizing availability of items.
  • Ensuring stock is issued in compliance with company policy, regarding payment or exchange.
  • Ensuring all parts and accessories are correctly stored and located and appropriate housekeeping standards are met.
  • Working with colleagues across the company to investigate and resolve complaints.
  • Ensuring stock control documentation is completed fully and updating parts catalogues.

 

Qualifications, experience and competencies required:

       •          A minimum of three years’ experience in automotive parts sales

  •        Good knowledge of parts and automotive systems
  •        Must have a proven track record of success in sales
  •        A minimum of five CXC’s, with Math and English included (at a Level 2, or above)
  •        Excellent knowledge of parts management software, Microsoft office and email applications 
  •        Strong written and oral communicator
  •        Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills 
  •        The ability to work on weekends, as needed
  •        Must possess a valid driver's license
