This job incumbent is responsible for the planning, organization, supervision of the warehouse daily operations and delivery to ensure efficient operations.  Ensure that all activities are executed safely, accurately and in accordance with company standards.  Train, supervise, evaluate and support assigned staff to ensure optimal performance.

Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s inventory of products at its main warehouse. She/he shall ensure that the workplace Health and Safety requirements are met and also has responsibility for the security of the company’s inventory, warehouse building and assigned company vehicles.  Responsible for housekeeping standards and continuous improvement within the warehouse.

  • Monitor and make recommendations for stock level optimization to increase cost saving and improve product availability.
  • Monitor the status of open samples.
  • Monitor and make recommendations to optimize warehouse facility storage environment to reduce the impact of product failure, identify and report on warehouse conditions negatively affecting inventory.
  • Monitor and manage KPIs; produce required reports
  • Monitors and reports on the status of all ‘Open’ Purchase Orders.
  • Review and report on non-conforming, defective products, inventory obsolescence and MRAs
  • Enforce quality control measures to maintain the accuracy and integrity of inventory, including proper handling, storage, and documentation.
  • Maintain a collaborative relationship with all Department Heads to nurture an environment where both internal and external customer service reflects the company’s Strategic Goal of “Customer Centricity”
  • Develop and implement initiatives to continuously improve customer service levels
  • Achieve excellence in customer service via a sustained focus on QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery)
  • Ensures that replenishment and customers’ orders are delivered to the Retail Outlets in a timely manner
  • Directly supervise warehouse staff, scheduling, assigning tasks, and evaluating performance.
  • Ensure safe loading and off-loading practices are adhered to in accordance with safety procedures.
  • To coordinate shipment unstuffing and offloading in accordance with the company policy and procedures. 
  • Liaise with suppliers and logistics partners to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and resolve any issues or delays.
  • Implement, maintain and optimize warehouse processes and inventory management controls to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and comply with policies and procedures.
  • Allocation of suitable location, shelving and or bin locations for goods to ensure goods are stored in the correct locations, following inventory control instructions.
  • Maintains storage areas by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
  • Secures warehouse by ensuring that all points of entry are secured and the building’s security system is armed.
  • Manage vehicles and equipment assigned to the warehouse to ensure on-time maintenance and also monitor and report to management on incidents/accidents that result in damage to the vehicle.
  • Coordinate inventory cycle counts.
  • Assist with inventory receivings.
  • Assist with sales order entry & invoicing.
  • Order Fulfillment: Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipping of orders to meet customer deadlines and quality standards.
  • Ensures the warehouse inventory verification and receiving process is adhered to.
  • Observe health and safety regulations; upkeep general warehouse maintenance in accordance with the company’s policy; keeping the area in a safe, neat, orderly and clean condition.
  • Assist management with identifying budget and resource related needs.
  • Filing and maintenance of records/documents.
  • Ad hoc reporting.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation and execution of fiscal year end stock count in accordance with procedures outlined by Management.
  • Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by participating in the selection, orientation, training, assigning, coaching, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures. 
  • All other reasonably related responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • BSC in Supply Chain Management or a related field from a recognized University and or,
  • Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Diploma in Procurement and Supply
  • At least Three (3) years’ supervisory experience in a Warehouse environment.  
  • Experience working with a reputable ERP, Inventory and or Warehouse Management System
  • Experience working with Occupational Safety and Health products
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
