ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Lead Innovation Analyst pilots MC Systems’ Innovation Process to identify market opportunities and support the development of strategic plans for future products that add value to customers, promote competitive advantage and revenue growth in alignment with the MC Systems’ strategic direction. The Lead Innovation Analyst develops and delivers on Proof of Concepts, minimally viable product (MVP) development and product pilot plans that includes key activities, key deliverables, and key performance indicators to validate product value – balancing a strategic mindset with achieving results.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assess company, market, industry, and competitive landscape and identify unserved needs and market opportunities.
  • Define product opportunities and concepts based on consumer insights and data.
  • Assess innovation ideas to determine their feasibility, potential business benefits and alignment with the overall strategic innovation plan.
  • Define new product roadmap and business models to create competitive advantage for MC Systems, in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Assist in prioritizing business resources to support product strategies based on analysis of business value and impact.
  • Assist in developing product lifecycle plans, performance metrics, marketing & pricing strategies, partnerships, and risk management plans
  • Manage the prototyping process working with engineering to determine the compromises that are required to deliver a product that meets customers’ needs while ensuring the company is successful in taking its innovations to market in a scalable way on time and on budget.
  • Prepare business cases for review and submission to executive management; participate in presentations as required
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, solutions, competition, customer, industry trends and digital trends
  • Lead discussions to drive understanding, analysis, and ideation using humancentred design thinking methodology.
  • Articulate ideas, product strategies, and actionable recommendations to organization leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with external partners, key leaders & team members, subject matter experts, marketing, legal and any other functional teams as necessary, to accomplish goals.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups to execute the Innovation Process and create product vision, direction, and roadmaps by leveraging the collective understanding of business, markets, products, services, and resource capabilities

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Remote, distributed team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent certifications in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
  • At least three (3) years experience exercising skills in Project Management, Business Systems Analysis, Design Thinking, Research Methodologies & Reporting.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative UX research techniques such as surveys, interviews, and usability testing.
  • Experience with analyzing and synthesizing qualitative data points.
  • Experience in building compelling, and analytical stories to senior management using digital tools for data visualization & wireframing.
  • Experience in structuring analytical work, facilitating team workshops, and developing strategy recommendations with a small team.
  • Ability to define areas of potential value through user, market, and industry research.
  • Ability to look at a set of needs across the business and identify key questions, themes, and potential for business impact.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Native English speaker or IELTS Level 8-9
  • Excellent Oral & Written Communication
  • Good presentation skills
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in remote and distributed teams.
  • Ability to complete tasks both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail
  • Adaptable to changing environments and situations.
  • Open to learning new approaches.
  • Working knowledge of productivity tools such as MURAL or other virtual whiteboard software, Microsoft Forms, Google Forms, Survey Monkey, or other related survey tools, Microsoft Office 365 – Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
