Maintenance Manager

Plan, supervise and coordinate the work of local repairs in the physical spaces of the Decameron hotels with the aim of guaranteeing the quality of the experience of the guests.

We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Manager to oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the company’s facilities. You will be the one to ensure that your colleagues have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to budget. A great maintenance manager will have a solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts. They will be well-versed in all maintenance process and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting etc. The goal is to ensure the company facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the company’s business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance Planning and Execution:

   • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program to ensure the efficient operation of all hotel systems and equipment.
   • Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and disruption to guests.

2. Team Leadership and Supervision:

   • Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and contractors, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
   • Delegate tasks effectively, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.

3. Equipment and Systems Management:

   • Conduct regular inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to identify issues and implement corrective measures promptly.
   • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary parts, materials, and equipment for maintenance and repair projects.

4. Safety and Compliance:

   • Enforce compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards to maintain a safe and healthy environment for guests, staff, and visitors.
   • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness drills to mitigate potential hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.

5. Budgeting and Cost Control:

   • Prepare and manage the departmental budget, forecasting expenses, and allocating resources effectively to optimize operational efficiency and minimize costs.
   • Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures, energy conservation, and sustainability initiatives without compromising quality or guest satisfaction.
