Our client in the Advertising Sector is seeking to hire a Digital Content and Strategy Specialist for their Port of Spain office.

Job Summary:
The role revolves around oversight of the activities of the content department, topic generation, as well as working with closely with the team in the creation of excellent day to day experiences for the consumers and other audiences through the content. This role answers in to the Digital Marketing Director.

The suitable resource should be very much in tune with technology, technological advancements, and current affairs and ensures that the whole content department is up to date for production of relevant and relatable content.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and monitor content strategy aligned with clients' short-term and long-term marketing targets
  2. Interface with clients on direction of monthly calendar content and campaign briefs
  3. Conceptualise and build out monthly content calendars and digital strategies for client campaigns
  4. Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to implement strategy, digital campaigns and monthly content
  5. Review, edit, proofread written content
  6. Use content management systems to schedule, manage and analyse website and social media traffic, users and other engagement metrics
  7. Community management (post engagement and inbox management)
  8. Community management and reporting
  9. Manage and account for digital budgets
  10. Oversee writing style and tone for all content and collaborate with other teams to ensure brand consistency
  11. Manage specifications and content appropriate for the brand's customer personas
  12. Conduct periodic content and strategy audits to ensure content strategy meets business objectives and improve content delivery and promotion where necessary
  13. Stay up-to-date with digital development and trends to generate new ideas and draw audience's attention

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related discipline would be expected.
  • Master's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, or Business Administration will be an asset.
  • Certifications related to digital marketing, content creation, and strategy. Examples include certifications from HubSpot, Google Analytics, or the Content Marketing Institute.

Job Experience:

  • Content Creation Experience: Extensive experience in creating various types of content (written, visual, audio, etc.) across different platforms such as websites, social media, blogs, and email newsletters is crucial.
  • Digital Marketing Experience: Strong background in digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, and content marketing.
  • Management Experience: Previous experience in managing teams, budgets, and projects is essential, especially for a leadership role.
  • Client Management Skills: Ability to interface with clients, understand their requirements, and translate them into actionable content strategies and campaigns.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in using analytics tools to measure content performance, track KPIs, and make data-driven decisions for content optimization.
  • Tech-Savviness: Being up-to-date with technology trends, content management systems, social media platforms, and digital tools is crucial for success in this role.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, and maintaining brand consistency.
  • Strategic Thinking: The ability to think strategically, develop long-term content plans aligned with business goals, and adapt to changing market trends is key.
